It’s think it’s pretty clear, I’m crazy about smoothies….and this Choc Avocado Smoothie is definitely my favourite! Full of protein, omega 3’s and antioxidants, there’s really no better way to start your day! Add good carbs in the way of gluten free or grainy bread with natural nut butter if you’re heading out on the bike, or save your carbs for late afternoon if you are training in the evening. Avocado in a smoothie? YES! 🙂
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 avocado, peeled & pitted
- 2 eggs, free range
- 1 Medjool date, pitted
- 1 teaspoon raw cacao
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 tray of ice, optional
- Add almond milk and chia seeds to the blender and let sit for 15 minutes for the chia seeds to go to work.
- Add remaining ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth or your desired consistency.
