Is it Time to Spring Clean Your Kitchen?

If you keep good food in your fridge, you will eat good food” ~ Eric McAdams

While it may sound simple, if you also apply the same to your pantry, you can’t go wrong. Instead of buying that sugar-laden muffin on your way into the office, you could start your day with a protein-rich breakfast. You have no need to resort to take-away after a late meeting or training session, if you know you’ll have a healthy meal ready in 10 minutes.  What if you actually made double and took the leftovers for lunch the next day? Imagine how much better you’ll feel, not to mention the money you’ll save!

So ask yourself, what does your kitchen resemble? A garden? A morgue? A fine example of self-sabotage?

Set your kitchen up for success
You can either start with my basic list, or create your own! I had a hard time narrowing it down to 15, but here are some of the items I just wouldn’t want to live without.

  1. Avocado
  2. Sweet Potato
  3. Natural Greek Yoghurt
  4. Milk (I love full fat, or unsweetened almond milk)
  5. Danish Feta
  6. Spinach
  7. Almonds
  8. Cans of tuna (in olive oil of course!)
  9. Eggs
  10. Chicken Breast Fillets
  11. Broccolini
  12. Coconut Oil
  13. Quinoa
  14. Bananas
  15. Berries (fresh are best, but frozen are perfect in winter)

If your kitchen already resembles a garden, well done! Why not share your kitchen staples with us!
If not… remember, you are what you eat! 🙂
