New Recipe: Green Tahini Smoothie Bowl

Nothing says Spring like our Green Tahini Smoothie Bowla great way to get your greens in first thing, as well as healthy fats for a clean source of energy and satiety to fuel your body until lunch. Tahini is one of my favourite sources of calcium for big and little people alike. I hope your whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • ¾-1 cup unsweetened coconut milk, depending on how thick you want your smoothie bowl
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 tablespoon cacao protein powder e.g. Bare Blends
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • ½ avocado, peeled & de-seeded
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup ice, optional

To serve:

  • 1 tablespoon coconut flakes
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon tahini

Method

  1. Add chia seeds and coconut milk to a blender and let sit for 15 minutes for the chia seeds to go to work.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, excluding the ice, into the blender and blend until smooth or your desired consistency. If desired add in the ice and blend further.
  3. Pour smoothie into a bowl and top with coconut, seeds and tahini.
