Nothing says Spring like our Green Tahini Smoothie Bowl – a great way to get your greens in first thing, as well as healthy fats for a clean source of energy and satiety to fuel your body until lunch. Tahini is one of my favourite sources of calcium for big and little people alike. I hope your whole family will enjoy.
Ingredients (Serves 1)
- ¾-1 cup unsweetened coconut milk, depending on how thick you want your smoothie bowl
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 banana, frozen
- 1 tablespoon cacao protein powder e.g. Bare Blends
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- ½ avocado, peeled & de-seeded
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 1 cup ice, optional
To serve:
- 1 tablespoon coconut flakes
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
- 1 tablespoon tahini
Method
- Add chia seeds and coconut milk to a blender and let sit for 15 minutes for the chia seeds to go to work.
- Add remaining ingredients, excluding the ice, into the blender and blend until smooth or your desired consistency. If desired add in the ice and blend further.
- Pour smoothie into a bowl and top with coconut, seeds and tahini.
