Smoothies are such a convenient way to enjoy your favourite seasonal fruit and create a nutrient dense, macro balanced meal. With the sweetness of fresh mango, paired with omega-3 and fibre rich chia seeds and nature’s superfood spinach, it’s the complete summer smoothie in a dash.
Tip: this is a great smoothie to get some greens into your little ones and if the colour is something that might turn them away, place it in an opaque cup/bottle with a straw.
Ingredients (Serves 1)
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 ripe mango, peeled
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 tray of ice
Method
- Add almond milk and chia seeds to the blender and let sit for 15 minutes for the chia seeds to go to work.
- Add remaining ingredients, excluding the ice, into a blender and blend until smooth or your desired consistency. If desired add in the ice and blend for a further minute.
