Recently I’ve had a number of clients who are working on breaking their after dinner snacking habit. This Sugar Free Hot Chocolate is a great strategy to assist the transition, as it offers a little sweetness to take the edge off, but importantly, satiety and blood sugar control. Use it to signal the end of your day, turn the kitchen light off and enjoy. Positive habits form with consistent practice, so with the daily work, you can quit your unnecessary snacking too*. I encourage you to start today.
Ingredients (Serves 1)
- 1 teaspoon raw cacao
- 100ml boiled water
- 200ml Pure Harvest CocoQuench
- 1 teaspoon rice malt syrup, optional
Method
- Add cacao to a large mug, add boiled water and stir well.
- Top with warmed milk and for a little sweetness if required, rice malt syrup. If you have a coffee machine, froth your milk as you would for a latte – just divine.
*Ultimately, with the right nutrient dense approach you shouldn’t be hungry after a meal, let alone at this time of night. Learn how to optimise your nutrition with a face-to-face or Skype consultation with us here.
