New Recipe: Tahini MCT Dressing

Our tahini dressing is perfectly paired with your roasted vegetable salad or even with vegie sticks for a mid afternoon snack. Tahini is a paste that is made by the grounding of sesame seeds and is well known for being a key ingredient in hummus. Tahini is a source of good fat, an excellent source of calcium and high in minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and iron.

Ingredients (Serves 2-4)

  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 1 lemon, zested & juiced
  • 1 tablespoon Melrose MCT Oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and blitz until smooth and creamy.
  2. Blend in a little extra water if you would like a thinner dressing.

Thanks for the recipe, I just bought my first bottle of MCT oil and was wondering how I was going to digest it.
I am a new listener to your podcasts and a find each show informative, enlightening and empowering. I have a small PT business and love sharing your podcasts with clients, family and friends.
About 6 weeks ago I watched the Magic Pill which led me to Nora Degaurdas podcasts (alittle dated) then to reading the Vegetarian Myth; I then downloaded Peter Evans who interviewed Dr Caryn Zinn and now I am not sure where I first heard you? Would that have been on Peter Evans podcasts? Anyway this path of enlightenment has led me to taking daily vitamins, eating a LCHF diet, purchasing Gutalicious and a yoghurt Kulture (my coconut yoghurt is currently fermenting in the cupboard). My alcohol consumption is way less and under control with alcohol free nights and no cravings. My husband is losing weight steadily and not needing snacks after dinner. I am spreading the word and sharing your podcasts and am really looking forward to educating myself and learning more about the wonderful world of LCHF. (could you please tell me which podcast would be best to share with my 26yo son who is fit, strong, lean and muscular but eats and enormous amount of food (lots of veggies, lean protein and good fats)
Toast avo egg for breakie; oats banana protein shake for MT; 2 meals during the day then dinner; he loves eating but of course has to go to the bathroom 4&5 times a day.
I want to introduce him into your world of LCHF for athletes.
Honestly I have so many questions, most importantly where do you have a microbiome test done in Sydney and Brisbane, what is the cost and who should have one?
Thanks so much again for impacting in such a positive and profound way in our lives.
Keep up the great work. Kind regards Trisha Hughes

Brilliant. I used it on left over steamed veggies. Works really well.

I just love tahini, I spread on my cracker.
I do use it for making dressing for everything.
