New Recipe: Balanced Hormones Smoothie

Smoothies are one of the best ways to start your day with protein, with very little time or preparation required. My Balanced Hormones Smoothie includes so many of my favourites ingredients, with three of the best superfoods – ginger,  maca and broccoli sprouts – for progesterone, estrogen and adrenal support. Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup coconut milk e.g. Pure Harvest CocoQuench
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup organic blueberries
  • ½ tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • ½ zucchini, diced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder
  • 1 teaspoon broccoli sprout powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons/1 serve protein powder 

Method

  1. Add all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth or your desired consistency. If desired, add in the ice and blend further.
  2. Pour into a glass or portable smoothie jar and enjoy.
